About CSAUAT

The Chandra Shekhar Azad University in Kanpur is a UGC recognized premier agricultural university of Uttar Pradesh State Government. It came into existence in 1975 when Government Agriculture College, Kanpur and UP College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Mathura merged into one institute.

CSA University Kanpur campus is 9.4 Kilometers away from Kanpur Central railway station. It is just 7.4 kilometres away from Kanpur bus depot. Nearest airport to the university is Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport (Amausi) in Lucknow. The distance between the university and airport is 86 km.

CSAUAT always focus on agriculture research and caters to the need of farmers of 29 districts of Uttar Pradesh. University has received various awards for their research work in agricultural science. The university has a large agricultural land with different types of soils for experiment and research.
