Banda University of Agriculture and Technology
BUAT is a state university of Uttar Pradesh and recognized under University Grants Commission (UGC) for its functioning. It was established on 2nd March 2010 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The main moto behind the establishment was to provide a separate agriculture research university for Bundelkhand region. After establishment, it received the honour of becoming the first agricultural university of the Bundelkhand.
The university is situated in Banda, Uttar Pradesh. Banda is one of the districts of Uttar Pradesh state. Banda is well connected by the rail network of the country and BUAT is situated just 8 kilometres away from Banda railway station. Nearest airport to the university is Allahabad Airport which is 169 kilometres away from the university. Banda city bus stand is also around 8.7 kilometres.
The university focuses on the overall development of the student through which it develops various skills in the students and motivates them for agricultural research needed for Bundelkhand region. It also partners with farmers of the region and teaches them new technology to boost their production. University has a good team of faculties who always stay eager and work hard with students to deliver better academic results.
Banda University campus includes six colleges namely, College of Agriculture (COA), College of Horticulture (COH), College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (COVSAH), College of Agricultural Engineering & Technology (COAET), College of Home Science (COHC) and College of Forestry.
Facilities at BUAT
All these colleges include lecture halls, canteens, labs and library facilities for the students. University campus has a computer centre for their research work. Important facilities like a stadium and hostels are also available in BUAT. Both boys and girls can have accommodation in the hostels.

Undergraduate Course
- B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture:
A three-year undergraduate degree course in Bachelor of Science (BSc) with honours in Agriculture is provided by College of Agriculture (COA) in the university campus. - B.Sc. (Hons) Forestry:
A three-year undergraduate degree course in Bachelor of Science (BSc) with honours in Forestry is offered by College of Forestry (COF). - B.Sc. (Hons) Horticulture:
College of Horticulture (COH) offers a three-year undergraduate B.Sc. degree program to students with honours in horticulture.
Postgraduate Course:
- M.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture:
Two-year Master of Science (MSc) degree with a specialization in Agriculture is awarded to successful students of BUAT. - M.Sc. (Hons) Horticulture:
Banda University of Agriculture and Technology offers a two-year M.Sc. postgraduate degree program in Horticulture.
