All India Majlis-e-ittehadul Muslimeen candidate Mumtaz Ahmed Khan won and became MLA from this seat. He secured total 53808 votes. Bharatiya Janata Party candidate T Uma Mahendra stood second with total 21222 votes. He lost by 32586 votes.
